5 REASONS TO VISIT CORNWALL WITH EVOSSI EXPLORES
We are very excited to be heading to Cornwall, 31 July - 3 Aug, for a summer adventure retreat & we'd love for you to join.
Here we share why visiting Cornwall with EVOSSI Explores will be an unforgettable experience!
Cornwall has sunsets which stretch for miles across an endless horizon, giant skies & sweet fresh air. It's filled with community spirit, art, culture & a rugged history.
Trail running in this part of the UK is a special experience. The South West Coast Path is dramatic, all 630 miles of it making it the longest National Trail in the UK.
So what awaits on EVOSSI Explores Cornwall?
1. PENROSE BUNKHOUSE
Penrose Bunkhouse, owned by the National Trust will be our base, with the South West Coast Path & beautiful Gunwalloe Beach on our doorstep.
Located right on the South West Coast Path, the large bunkhouse is the ideal accommodation for a group like ours with a keen sense of adventure! Equipped with table tennis, a large garden & BBQ space. Not forgetting sea views & incredible access to the trails!
2. LIZARD POINT
Britain’s most southerly point, will be the finish line for our coastal run with white beaches, dramatic cliffs & blue seas. The perfect place to breathe in the fresh sea air & cool off for a wild swim!
Kynance Cove is a gem, hidden from view among towering cliffs. There are many interconnected caves to be explored at low tide, along with dolphins which can sometimes be seen frolicking in the water close to shore.
3. ST IVES SURF SCHOOL
We're lucky to partner with St Ives Surf School, highly regarded as one of the best places to learn to surf in Cornwall. They also run SUP, coasteering & sea kayaking activities from beautiful beach locations in the heart of St Ives.
Their aim is to provide an unforgettable ocean experience in a fun, friendly & safe environment. Surf, kayak & SUP! Which will you try?
Cornwall is surrounded by the ocean, so naturally there is a wealth of fresh seafood being served at restaurants & being sold at markets around the UK. Often the fish served to you was caught that day & because of this it might just be the best seafood you ever tasted!
5. BREATHTAKING TRAIL RUNS
As a county, Cornwall offers some of the finest trails to run in the UK with coastal routes, moors, former railways and forests to test your stamina.
We'll head for a mix of trail runs, including eye-opening coastal sunrise runs & a longer explore of the coastline down to Lizard Point. The guided trail runs will be led by Run Leaders who will keep you safe & make sure you have the time of your life, not forgetting cooling off in the sea!
Distances will vary from 6 - 13 miles & they'll be run at a social 9/10min mile pace, with frequent breaks to catch our breath & take in the views.
